Mary Elizabeth's Story
Life
I have 2 kids, ages 2 and 3. I recently moved to Livingston and stay at home with my kids for now. I married Brian Keith Reid on September 25, 2000. Much to everyone's surprise, we are still together today!
School
I would like to apologize to all the teachers that I terrorized during my high school days, especially Ms.Holland and Ms.Luce! I was just wondering where everyone is now.
I was really crazy back in school and I am sorry to report that I still am, just not as reckless.
College
I recieved college training through the military. I earned my EMT Basic.
Workplace
I used to work at Dairy Queen in BIG WELLS! It was interesting to say the least.
I joined the military right out of high school. I finished AIT, got out and had some kids.
I worked for TDCJ for almost 3 years as a correctional officer. That is a very educational job! You will see so many things that will stay in your mind for a long time, and not all good.
There, you answer phones, load up inmates in big, ugly vans and take them to other locations. You see figh...Expand for more
t after fight after fight, blood and teeth flying. I would never ever want to be there on the other side of those bars! It is hot. It is nasty. It ain't nothing nice......
My most recent job is......MOMMY!!! You load up kids in car seats in the minivan. You take them for doctor's appointments. You go to the park and push them on the swings. You read to them. Tuck them into bed at night. Cook, clean, and change diapers. Give baths, do laundry. Do dishes. Go to bed and get up in the morning and do it all again!
But, trust me when I say that it is all worth it!
Military
I did a short amount of time in the Army. I went to basic training at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. It sure straightened me up in a hurry! No more attitude from Miss Mary!!
I then went on to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio! I loved every minute of it there! The food was awesome. We got to go out on the town every weekend! It was the best.
After that, I got out on medical discharge. :(
I got my EMT basic while in and used it for a while afterward, but that is not my cup of tea!
